ABOUT
The Galleries at Moore support Moore College of Art & Design's educational mission and role as a cultural leader by providing a forum for exploring contemporary art and ideas, and enriching the artistic and intellectual climate of the college, the Greater Philadelphia community, and beyond. As a gateway between the College and the city of Philadelphia, The Galleries are a catalyst for creative exploration, experimentation and scholarship and function as a gathering place to meet, reflect, learn, challenge, and create—our commitment to academic, artistic, and curatorial freedoms is evidenced through our inclusive and innovative programming, all of which is free and open to the public. The Galleries build community through dialogue and participation, and inspire an appreciation for the visual arts as a vital force in shaping contemporary culture.

The Galleries at Moore are dedicated to mentoring the next generation of gallery professionals. Our interns are organized, creative and motivated students looking to gain insight into how a contemporary, non-profit art gallery operates. Internships are generally unpaid, but offer the opportunity to build professional skills and relationships with experienced curatorial mentors.
Learn the ins and outs of working in a nationally recognized contemporary art gallery while working alongside professional curators, visiting artists and gallery staff. Gain experience working with professional art handlers who teach basic carpentry and construction skills essential to those who hope to present their work professionally. Eligible students are invited to stop by The Galleries office for more information about availability Monday–Friday, 10am–5pm.
The Galleries at Moore does not review unsolicited materials sent by artists or by their representatives, as the administrative time needed to properly review such materials is beyond our capacity. For this reason we also do not set up appointments with artists to review their work at their request.
If unsolicited materials are sent to The Galleries without the submitter’s prior knowledge of our policy, please note that we are not responsible for such materials nor obligated to return them.
Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
