Artist Statement

Before the creation of this thesis project, I had developed these characters already. Over the winter break of 2021, I came into contact with one of my distant relatives. As we started speaking with one another, I was shocked by the fact that although we had common ancestors, our lives were vastly different.

Though we could not meet because we lived in two different countries, I wondered what would happen if we met. These feelings drove me to create a simple, comedic animation where these cousin characters are able to connect and grow closer.
