Artist Statement
I am a cartoonist, illustrator and printmaker. My body of work, across all mediums, is focused on enjoyment of life and exploring the realities of the human experience through humor and emotion.
"Will I Remember This in the Morning" explores the intersection between reality and unconsciousness, and is inspired by traditional animation techniques. The entire concept takes place across three "dream bubbles," representative of the nebulous landscape of the unconscious mind, as well as the tendency to have multiple dreams within a night. Each bubble represents an experience: the endless chase, the dream that has affected reality, and the moment dream becomes reality. It is borne from my desire to visualize my unconscious experiences, and in doing so, find relief through unburdening myself of these memories.
