Artist Statement
Weeds are an important aspect to my concept, hence the project name, Where There Are Weeds. Weeds grow when the surrounding environment lacks certain nutrients, to enrich the soil. Even though a weed may not provide much by fruit or by flower, they have a use we do not acknowledge because the benefits they provide are not easily visible. No matter how small their impact, a weed deserves to have a place in the world, in the soil where it began its life, and so do we.
Where There Are Weeds
