I knew I wouldn't be satisfied with coding a game or making a short film for my senior thesis. Throughout my education here at Moore, I've dabbled in and enjoyed a variety of media and techniques, including bookbinding, illustration and card game design. I wanted to utilize these new skills and take a more traditional game design route for my thesis, so I decided to design a rule book for a tabletop role-playing game, titled, "All That Remains."
In this game, the players become nature spirits who recover abandoned ruins and learn what happened to the humans who once lived there. This work brings players into a world that represents my feelings towards nature, history and death. I encourage them to be creative and to find beauty in something considered broken. Each game takes around four hours, and requires three to five players, some dice and a deck of cards.
