Artist Statement
I am a hunter in the pursuit of fleeting moments to express the passage of time. I photograph ephemeral instances using shallow depth of field and slow shutter speeds. I aim to pull you into my dream world by blurring the lines between an image and feeling. The composition is composed to allow you to peep into hopefully glimmering moments of a transitional period in my life.
The color palette features muddy greens that allude to a darkness in this dream space. I am drawn to the grief in losing a past self and the beauty of discovering a new one. I am also interested in the juxtaposition between the hopeful and depressing moments of time passing. These images are my visual representation of the discomfort of time slipping away from me while also desperately trying to preserve these instances of fluctuation.
