Joe Kulka is an award-winning children's book illustrator and author. He has illustrated over 20 books for children. Working for USDA Forest Service, Kulka has created notable illustrations and picture books, featuring national icons Smokey Bear and Woodsy Owl. With 30 years of experience as a freelance illustrator, Kulka's professional background spans a variety of sectors, including medical, gaming and entertainment. He has a BFA in illustration from the University of the Arts and an MFA in illustration from the University of Hartford.
