A professional illustrator for over 30 years and a full time freelancer since 1990, Richard Harrington’s work has ranged from humorous magazine and editorial cartoons to exacting instructional diagrams and product illustrations. Elected to the Society of Illustrators in 1997, he is also a member and current President of the Philadelphia Sketch Club. At the PSC, in 2007 he originated the annual show Phillustration, the only open juried exhibition of illustration in the US that hangs student work alongside that of professionals. After a series of lectures to about his illustration work to college students in the mid 1990’s, Rich began teaching as an Adjunct Illustration Instructor at Syracuse University, and is now a Professor in the Illustration Major at Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia, PA.
