CARES Act Disclosures
The Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) and the American Rescue Plan (ARP) allotted through the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) provides emergency funding to universities to assist students in need during the coronavirus pandemic. In 2020, this funding was known as the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES).
In 2020 Moore College of Art & Design has received $220.837 of HEERF I funding and in 2021 $220,837 of HEERF II funding through CRRSAA. Moore has also received $587,958 of HEERF III funding through ARP in 2021. Each of these funds were used to distribute student emergency grants ranging from $200 to $2500 to eligible students to be used for any component of the student’s cost of attendance or for emergency costs that arise due to coronavirus, such as tuition, food, housing, health care (including mental health care) or childcare.
Funds from CRRSAA and ARP are not considered financial aid and do not affect a student's current or future financial aid eligibility. Per guidance from the federal government, these grants were distributed to our students with exceptional need, which were identified by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). A separate email notification was sent to each student who is receiving funding.

- An acknowledgement that the institution signed and returned to the Department the Certification and Agreement and the assurance that the institution has used the applicable amount of funds designated under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.
On May 12, 2020 Moore drew down $220,837 and on March 5, 2021, Moore College of Art & Design drew down its authorized allocation totaling $220,837 as designated under the CRRSAA program to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students. In June 2021, Moore also drew down $587,958 as designated under the ARP program to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students. - The total amount of funds that the institution will receive or has received from the Department pursuant to the institution's Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs.

The total amount under CRRSAA distributed to students is $441,674 and ARP is $587,958 as of September 30, 2021. - The estimated total number of students at the institution that are eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs is 352.

- Any instructions, directions, or guidance provided by the institution to students concerning the Emergency Financial Aid Grants were sent via email to students.
We at Moore College desire to assist our students through this Emergency Financial Aid Grant. The circumstances are, of course, unprecedented, but the spirit and determination of our students will overcome this current health crisis. It is hoped that this grant will assist in meeting some of the financial burdens which may have resulted from these events.
Funds will be distributed through a Student Account refund process. If further guidance is needed, questions may be directed toward the Financial Aid Office.
