Innovative City
Philadelphia is a thriving city of neighborhoods, and students love exploring them.
It matters that our home city is Philadelphia, a global arts capital where innovation's roots run deep. With a vibrant creative economy, Philadelphia is open and welcoming to new artists and designers who want to make their mark.
It's also a thriving city of neighborhoods—you'll want to check out the exciting art scenes in Old City, Fishtown and Northern Liberties. If you're into nightlife, head to South Street or the Gayborhood. Want to get away from it all? Then Fairmount Park or one of Philadelphia's open-space parks, like nearby Rittenhouse Square, are for you. (Students LOVE the Rittenhouse Farmers' Market!)
Moore students become part of Philly's creative community and immediately have access to industry connections. Through The Galleries at Moore, they have even more opportunity to work with and engage renowned artists from our own city and beyond. And because we are located in Philadelphia's museum center, with its truly magnificent institutions as well as independent galleries, Moore is home base for walkable exploration that allows our graduates to turn their talents into careers.
