Welcome back to the Moore campus! We're sure you will notice that some things will be a bit different, but all of the changes are designed to keep you safe and healthy.
Here are some of the things we are doing to provide a safe, socially distanced return to campus:
As you probably already have been doing, you will be required to wear a face mask while on campus. Students, faculty and staff will be issued two cloth face coverings, which must be washed between uses. You will also be given hand sanitizer as well as safety tips before or at the start of the semester.
Cleanliness is a priority, and additional custodians have been hired to conduct hourly, campus-wide high-touch surface cleaning. Classrooms, corridors, restrooms and other highly trafficked areas will receive multiple cleanings each day.
To ensure that proper social distancing is maintained, classroom furniture and equipment have been rearranged, and additional sections have been created to thin out class size. For tighter spaces like computer labs, accommodations and space capacity limits will be set. Studio hours will be scheduled in advance, with time in between for proper cleaning.
All students will be tested for COVID-19 when they first arrive on campus. Students, faculty and staff must check for symptoms every day before reporting to campus. Following CDC guidelines, Student Health Services will gather preliminary contact tracing information for each student and share it with the Philadelphia Department of Health. This will help the College in notifying community member promptly of possible exposure to a suspected or positive COVID-19 case. Human Resources will do the same for faculty and staff.
All of these measures are being taken to help you have a successful and healthy school year. Get more information here.
