The health and safety of our students, faculty and staff comes first, and using hand sanitizer and wearing your mask is important. Here are some more of the things Moore is doing to help you have a safe, fun and meaningful college experience.

To maintain a safe campus, battery operated hand sanitizers have been placed in high-traffic areas. Corridors, restrooms and other communal areas will be cleaned multiple times a day, and classrooms will be cleaned and sanitized between classes, up to five times daily.

DINING HALL SAFETY

New rules have been implemented in the Dining Hall. Before and after eating, you should wash your hands thoroughly to reduce the potential transmission of the virus. Tape and other visual markers have been placed on the floor of the serving area for social distancing. An acrylic barrier has been installed at cashier’s station, and only credit and debit cards will be accepted forms of payment. SAGE will not accept cash at this time.

Only remove your mask or face covering in order to eat, then put it back on. Maintain 6 feet of space between you and others.

In addition, faculty and staff will not be permitted to eat in the Dining Hall or other designated student dining areas. Faculty and staff should eat in their offices, outside or off campus. Faculty and staff will be able to purchase to-go meals, snacks, and beverages from the café at Jane’s Corner.

MEETINGS AND EVENTS

Meeting in groups increases the risk of viral transmission, and you are encouraged to communicate by email, instant messaging, telephone or other technology rather than face-to-face.

Where feasible, campus events, student club meetings and activities should be held using tools like Zoom.  In-person meetings are limited to 25 people, and should not exceed 50 percent of a room's capacity. Chairs and tables should be removed or rearranged to help support social distancing.
