The best way to find out if a school is the right place for you is to see it for yourself, and there are plenty of opportunities to visit Moore College of Art & Design this fall. Whether you’re just starting your college search or finalizing your list of where to apply, we have you covered with a variety of options to visit the campus. With 100% of our 2018 graduating class employed or in graduate school* we’re sure not to disappoint!

One of the most popular and thorough campus visit options is to attend an Open House. The day’s highlights include a welcome from President Cecelia Fitzgibbon, remarks from a current student about their Moore experience and a presentation on how to prepare your artwork for your portfolio.  One of the benefits of attending an Open House is the ability to meet with award-winning faculty from your major and hear firsthand about the curriculum, projects, equipment, class materials, careers and our $1,000 paid internship program.

During lunch, guests are invited to learn from other departments on campus, including Sage Dining Services, Student Affairs, Academic Services, Moore's Locks Career Center, Admissions and Financial Aid. This fall we are hosting two Open Houses: September 21 and November 10. Both events are held from 10 am – 2 pm and include the benefits all our campus visits offer: a campus tour led by a current student and the ability to have your portfolio reviewed for either informal feedback or as a formal review to be used for the application for admission.

In addition to attending an Open House, students can also schedule a personalized class visit. These visits give students the chance to sit in on a class within their major to see what life could be like if they attend Moore. These visits typically start out with lunch in our Dining Hall with one or more current students before observing a class in the major of interest. From there, students have the opportunity to tour the campus with a current student, and then end their visit with their admissions counselor to help answer any questions and review portfolios. These are very personalized visits and are arranged on a case-by-case basis, so be sure to reach out to Campus Visit Coordinator Jasmine Zateeny at jzateeny@moore.edu or text/call 215.960.9660.

Last, but not least, Moore offers daily tours Monday through Friday at 11 am and 1 pm, as well as select Saturday tours at 10 am. While we offer a tour with every visit, our daily tours offer the convenience to fit your schedule, with excuses notes available for weekday visits. The tour is approximately an hour in length and provides the opportunity to see the various facilities available to enrolled students, including art and design studios, Connelly Library, the Fabrication Lab (FabLab), Art Shop, classrooms and the internationally known Galleries at Moore. All campus tours are led by current students to provide ample perspective into what studying at Moore could look like, including how a small class ratio of about eight students per professor can have a strong and lasting impact on an individual's academic success, both in and out of the classroom. Register for a tour today!

Come in for a visit, we’d love to show you around. We are always happy to welcome a wide range of students, from transfers who may have taken a break from college or are currently enrolled at other institutions, to ambitious high school freshmen. Not only when you visit do you get to explore the campus, get tips for what to do in the city, and see lots of amazing art and design, but every applicant for the current year can also apply for free! To schedule a visit or meeting with your admissions counselor, please register or contact Jasmine Zateeny, Campus Visit Coordinator, text/call at 215.960.9660 or email jzateeny@moore.edu.
