Catherine Purcell is so pleased to have joined the Moore community where she serves as Assistant Director of the Locks Career Center. She is in her final semester of the Master’s in Higher Education Policy and Student Affairs program at West Chester University and holds a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre. Before the pandemic, Catherine was a working theatre artist and teaching artist, but decided to pursue her passion for educating full time. At the university level, she’s held positions at WCU, Penn State University and Brown University.
Within the Career Center, Catherine hopes to facilitate a welcoming and warm environment alongside Keyia, where students feel supported in their career-related endeavors. Additionally, she plans to curate a collection of resources and develop programming that enhances the professional development of the diverse student populations within the Moore community. Given her own background as a student artist, she is incredibly passionate about advocating for art and design students and their work.
