On December 17, Moore alumna Patricia Bongiorno '15 was featured on the Today Show's "Favorite Things" segment!
Hoda Kotb and Taye Diggs showed the handpainted Vans decorated with beach scenes on the episode, and mentioned Tricia's name as they talked about the design.
"It all happened sort of accidentally," Bongiorno said. "A good friend of mine works at SiriusXM in New York and has become good friends with Hoda. Every year she and Hoda exchange Christmas presents, and this year she gave her a pair of my custom shoes."
She wasn't expecting what happened next.
"I was delighted to hear that Hoda loved them and taken by surprise when she mentioned she'd like to feature them on the show," she said.
Since then, Bongiorno has received many orders for pairs of her artsy shoes.
"I'm over the moon and overwhelmed with gratitude for the experience," she said.
