The artistic talents of Moore students were on display at a special Halloween lunch in the Great Hall and Fox Commons.

A noontime costume contest brought out about 30 competitors. Emcees Nina Bonaducci and Iliana Flores kept things moving with lively commentary.

Judges for the contest were Jonathan Wallis, who was dressed as Gandalf, Amanda Huffman and Kelly Kirby.   After much consideration, the judges made their decisions:

First prize: first-year student Ray Stetina, who made an alien costume from cardboard, paper towels and liquid latex.

Second prize: first-year student Ashley Steffen, dressed as a wendigo, a mythological man-eating creature or evil spirit from the folklore of the Native American Algonquian tribes. It took her about a week to make the cardboard-and-papier-mâché  animal head.

Third prize: first-year student Alyssa Roderick, dressed as Sexy Jesus, complete with lingerie, fishnet stockings and a Playboy bunny necklace.

Honorable mention for performance: Ronald McDonald and the Hamburglar, played by senior Brooklynn Seiple and junior Oxchzeanna Perez.
