Moore students in the Life Drawing for Illustrators II class took a tour February 3 of the Masonic Temple in Philadelphia at 1 North Broad Street.
Designed in the medieval Norman style and considered to be one of the great architectural wonders of Philadelphia, the massive temple serves as the headquarters of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania, Free and Accepted Masons.
The students toured the lodge rooms and were permitted to draw inside the temple.
"(The Masons) want to open their doors more to the community," said adjunct faculty member Jeff Dion. "I've been bringing my classes there for years for tours and drawing."
