Long-time run by Student Government, SURGE is turning into an independent club and everyone interested in curation, exhibition design and exhibition planning is invited to join!
"With a new program in mind, we want to build a strong gallery for the students at Moore," said SURGE faculty advisor Tatiana Gómez Gaggero, associate professor, AICAD Fellow, Foundation and Graphic Design.
Club members will take an active role in the curation of curatorial statements, artwork, identity design, exhibition design, production, promotion, and events planning for the gallery, while being guided by Gómez and others.
Open workshops will be offered to the Moore community during the entire semester, so everyone will be able to contribute to the projects, through open calls at different stages.
More information will be available at the first workshop on Curatorial Statement Writing on Thursday, February 13, 11:30 am - 12:30 pm in the Library Instruction Lab.
