Admission to Moore is based on both the quality of your portfolio and your overall academic record. Your desire and motivation to make art and your creative potential is also a key factor in the admissions process. Careful consideration is given to each applicant to evaluate their potential for success as a student at Moore. 

 

REQUIRED MATERIALS

Application

You can submit your application online via the Common App or Moore portal, or fill out and mail in a paper application.

Transcripts

Contact your school counselor and they can fax, email, or mail an official copy. Emailed transcripts must be from your school's counseling office.

Moore College uses a third party servicer, Parchment, to authenticate the validity of U.S. High School Transcripts and Diplomas and uses WES (World Education Services) to evaluate Foreign Transcripts. Your Transcript/Diploma must be authenticated in order to gain admission.

Artwork Samples

Submit 8-12 pieces of your best work created in the last 1-2 years. Make sure the include a variety of media (painting, drawing, 3D, digital, photography etc.) and use high-resolution images in .JPG, .PNG, or .PDF formats.

FAFSA Application

Find out if you are eligible for financial aid by filling out the​ FAFSA application (Moore's school code: 003300). If you are applying for the fall semester, we encourage you to submit your application and file your FAFSA by December 1. For the spring semester, we encourage you to submit your material by November 1.

Early Action Scholarship

Students who submit all of the above materials by December 15, 2022 will receive a one-time non binding $1,000 scholarship.

Optional Supporting Documentation

SAT / ACT Scores

Scores can be requested directly from the College Board or ACT site. A screenshot with your score and biographic information is also acceptable for the purpose of admission consideration.

Essay

Write an essay about why you like to create art or design. Help us understand your enthusiasm, goals, and motivation.

Recommendations

You can share one or two letters of recommendation by non-family members who admire you and your artwork.

Rolling Admission & Priority Dates

Moore reviews and accepts applications on an ongoing basis throughout the year as space remains available in each program. While there are no formal deadlines for all programs, we recommend submitting your application by the priority date (December 15). Students who submit all of their application materials, including their completed FAFSA, by December 15th receive a non-binding one time $1,000 grant.

Don’t be concerned if you aren’t ready to apply or miss these dates as we have rolling admissions and will continue to evaluate students until orientation begins.
