Welcome to your first dorm! Check out our virtual residence halls tour.

SADI students live in suites with two double-occupancy bedrooms and a shared bathroom—a sneak preview of the college experience. SADI students reside in Stahl Hall, located on Moore’s campus, right next to classroom studios and facilities.

Moore’s Residence Life staff live on campus, providing fun and engaging programming geared toward personal growth and community-building.

Security is on duty 24/7. Entry to the College and to the residence hall is carefully regulated and all spaces at Moore require the swipe of a unique ID card for entry. ID cards are carefully monitored by our Resident Life Staff and held only by SADI students and key Program Staff. There are always staff members on duty in the residence halls. RA’s live on each floor of the dorm building, along with the residents. The live-in staff members are Moore students and are supervised by the Residence Life Coordinator and the Dean of Students.

Outside visitors may not enter the dorms under any circumstances for the duration of the program due to safety and precautions related to COVID-19.

All meals are included! Check out our daily dining hall menu from SAGE Dining. Sage Dining Services creates a variety of delicious meals for students, including vegetarian and vegan options. Please contact General Manager, Michele O'Neill at moneill@sagedining.com to discuss any special dietary needs.

Students work in large, fully equipped studios with professional visual artists. They receive ample time in these studios, in order to develop finished works and portfolio pieces. Evening studio time, which takes place after dinner, is a fun and motivational space for SADI students to work and interact.

The following student services are available to SADI students:

Independent studio time and organized evening and weekend activities—such as optional field trips to galleries, city tours, performances, film screenings and shopping—enrich the SADI experience and complement coursework.  Weekends are unscheduled, to provide time for rest, extra studio time and family visits.

The surrounding city of Philadelphia is both intimate and completely accessible. Moore is located in the heart of it all, on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, surrounded by world-renowned museums, restaurants, shops and other attractions, as well as the Schuykill River and scenic Fairmount Park—perfect for sketching, exercising, and socializing with new friends.

Moore has security personnel and program staff on duty 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week. The College’s entrance is secured at all times. All College buildings have “swipe” card access for entry. Wilson, Peter, and Stahl Halls have swipe card access points to use elevators and stairways.

Resident Assistants (RA's) reside with students on every floor to ensure supervision and that students have access to a trained staff member in case of emergency during all evening hours.

To keep our community safe, we adhere to curfews, visitor restrictions and chaperone policies.

We are thrilled to announce our successful 2021 and 2022 SADI programs as fully in-person experiences! As of October 2022, we plan to host SADI 2023 as an in-person, on-campus experience. We will continue to follow guidelines from the CDC and the City of Philadelphia Department of Public Health regarding COVID-19. Safety measures include:

  • COVID-19 vaccination is required for all eligible SADI students.
  • Shared room in residence halls (two students per room)
  • Masks strongly suggested for the first week
  • Large, well-ventilated classrooms and studios
  • Ample sanitizing spaces across campus

We are requiring that all eligible SADI students receive the COVID-19 vaccine and up-to-date boosters, including the two-week waiting period, before coming to campus.

Recent research has shown that the currently available COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective, and they are a useful way to protect ourselves from new variants. With current plans underway for a full return to on-campus classes in the fall, SADI student vaccinations will help our ongoing efforts to maintain a safe learning and working environment for everyone. The College’s decision to require vaccinations is in line with recent news from other nearby higher education institutions whose students, along with Moore’s, make up a significant portion of Philadelphia’s population throughout the year.

Exemptions to the vaccination requirement will only be provided for medical, religious, or personal beliefs. To be exempt from the vaccine requirement, you must complete the COVID-19 Vaccine Exemption Request Form and submit it to healthservices@moore.edu
