Residence Life
Eat. Sleep. Create. Repeat.
Residence life at Moore provides a convenient and collaborative environment where students from diverse majors, backgrounds and cultures can learn from one another and support each other as they advance through their college years.
We offer on-campus housing in two residence halls: Louise Stahl Residence Hall (a.k.a. Stahl Hall) and Sartain Hall. Stahl Hall houses students at 20th Street and The Parkway, in suites of two bedrooms and a newly renovated bathroom (with a few triple occupancy rooms).Sartain Hall, located at 2039 Cherry Street, a block away from the main buildings, contains single, double and quadruple rooms, with community-style bathroom facilities.
Several residence hall lounges are available for use by all students, even commuters. In Stahl Hall, the student lounge is located in the penthouse above the 5th floor, which can be accessed by taking the elevator in Stahl Hall to the 5th floor and walking up the remaining flight of stairs. Lounge facilities include a kitchenette, televisions with cable hookup and study stations. In Sartain Hall, students can use the lounge on the first floor, which has a pool table and cable television.
On-campus housing lasts for the entire academic year and charges are payable in advance by the semester. All residence halls have 24-hour security coverage and may be accessed by students 24 hours a day when the halls are open.
Resident Assistants and Resident Directors can be found in both halls. These experienced Moore students are knowledgeable about the College and its resources. They are trained to help with students' day-to-day concerns, manage emergencies and serve as links to the Student Affairs staff.
